Authentic Intuitive Present
. Wounds can be healed and transformed. Your capacity to heal and move forward may seem uncertain right now, but you’ve made it this far, and you’re not giving up. Healing is not a mystery – in fact, it happens naturally. Hidden in the brokenness lies a unique gift for you. Like imperfect threads woven together, your struggles become an integral part of your extraordinary journey. My desire is to help you embrace the richness of the unique fabric that is your life.
No matter what brings you, I am here to remind you of your strength. You might be considering therapy because you’re in a place where the pain feels overwhelming. Maybe you’re holding memories and emotions that are difficult to make sense of. You might even be aware of what you want to change, but just don’t how to begin.
I will help you hold what feels like may be “too much” to hold alone. I will guide you to see things from different perspectives. Together, we will work to find the way forward.
I deeply value the sacredness of the therapeutic experience. I don’t yet know your story, but I do know what it’s like to sit across from a caring, empathic person. I approach therapy with authenticity and curiosity, with moments of light-heartedness. I also take into account the greater context of your life including early experiences and family influences that may be affecting you now.
I am fully trained in EMDR. My therapeutic approach is psychodynamic, relational, and uses elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy. For the past several years, I have worked with survivors of domestic violence through W.O.M.A.N., Inc. Together, we have worked through the pain of childhood traumas, have explored issues around self-worth, and have worked to decrease PTSD symptoms. At the other end, there is a greater sense of self-acceptance and a realization of a vision for life. I look forward to accompanying you on your path.
